TRAIL ETIQUETTE PART 1

I fully agree with everything this man says in this video. I deal with this on a daily basis and it is maddening.

  1. Great content. I wrote this to David:

Maybe I can explain why runners and walkers seem to not quite understand which side of the trail to use. I believe that as a kid we were taught that the rule was always to walk on the left side of the road facing traffic. I think that there has not been enough explanation of why the rule changes if we are using a trail. We then become the traffic ourselves and should keep to the right just as we do if we are driving a car. Some folks just get confused. Our trails need to be clearly marked with trail etiquette rules. “Always Keep Right” signs would be a good start. This may help somewhat, but I fear even then people won’t take the time to read them.
Stay safe out there and be well!
