SUMMER’S LAST HOORAY

I just got home from a 51.41 mile ride on this day … what looks to be summer’s last hooray. The high temperature today is forecast for 82. It was another beautiful day for trike riding in northern Indiana, Fort Wayne to be exact. The 10 day weather forecast shows lower temperatures … still nice weather but no more 80s. That is fine with me as I prefer it lower than 80. I will have to say that as am getting older the 80s don”t effect me like they did when I was a few years younger. I wore a sweatshirt all day today while riding and was quite comfortable with it on. A few years ago I would have been quite miserable … way to warm. I took the sweatshirt off upon coming home. It is pretty breezy outside today . The 15 mph wind plus my 20 plus mph trike speed is enough where the sweatshirt feels good. Fall weather is almost here. I look forward to the pretty Autumn leaves but I sure don’t look forward to what follows … winter. Come winter I will be missing summer. Definitely Spring and Fall are my favorite seasons for riding. Winter, of course, is my least favorite. I try to …

KEEP ON TRIKIN’

but is gets rather difficult and unenjoyable when it gets cold. I am not a fan of indoor stationary exercise so riding outdoors is the only option for me.
