I have experienced snow in June before but I think this is the first time I have ever experienced Christmas in July. I bring up the matter of Christmas and gifts because I just received a wonderful gift from another person and it is only early July not late December. It is the nicest gifts any human has ever given me. (I said human because the very best gift any Person has ever given to me is eternal life. Jesus Christ gave me that gift and it too has no strings attached.) I fully expect to get much use out of the gift I am talking about. It is not an inexpensive gift either. The new price value is probably more than $4000.
I am not a wealthy man and it was only by some “extra money” I received back in 2009 that I was able to buy my 2009 Catrike Trail. The extra money was when I started getting Social Security while I was still working before retirement. Without that I never would have had a tadpole trike. My financial situation has not changed. Now that I am retired I only have a small amout of Social Security money to live on.
With the Catrike Trail breaking down I was right back where I started with no trike and no money to replace it. Bert came to my rescue and blessed me with a very nice trike … probably better than my Catrike Trail. I did not have the money needed to pay for the shipping costs to get it here to me. Consequently I turned to my fellow trikers asking for help … just a dollar from each person who would be willing to help me in this. That is all I was asking. I would think that it would not be a hardship for most. There were only 7 people who donated. Seven out of more than a thousand who are members of the TadpoleRider Facebook group gave to help me. Needless to say I was very disappointed. I did not raise all the money that was needed. Anyway I had to pay for the shipping on a credit card which now I have to get paid off. I am so very thankful for the seven people who gave as they gave far more than a dollar. It definitely helped. I was counting on at least several hundred people contributing a dollar which would have met the need. A few of you I gave a fairly large amount of money to when you were in need.

I am not going to let that spoil things. I have so much to be thankful for. I will get the credit card paid off eventually and meanwhile I will be enjoying the trike, my early Christmas present. I hope I will be able to go for a ride on Christmas day. I always try to go for a ride on Christmas day and New Years day if weather permits.
