Rail trails have become popular and they certainly are a good practical use of railroad corridors that are no longer used. Obviously some are better than others. Personally I like a trail with twists and turns and shade. Those which just go perfectly straight have no attraction for me. I also don’t care for trails which are built running right along side of roads, especially highways.
